Pricing Data Services

Xactware generates nine regional pricing databases covering nearly every postcode in the United Kingdom. Each database of rates contains the most recently reported cost information to power our estimation software. The rates within Xactware’s databases have been researched and compiled by our own in-house staff of construction professionals.

Each price list contains over 2,000 line items with full time-and-material information including labour productivity rates for restoration and new construction, labour burden (taxes and benefits), overhead and mark-up, and material and plant costs.

• The Xactware Pricing Team

  With an established experience record in UK residential, commercial, public building construction and management, the UK Pricing Team researches and analyses building cost data for use in Xactware applications. The team receives continued training and has affiliation to corporate bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Building which means that our team of professionals strives to maintain prerequisite standards of the industry and that of our customers.
  
  In addition to Xactware’s own research, rate schedules and pricing information is also received from and under licence with NSR Management. NSR has been a trusted provider of construction rates since 1982 and is the publisher of the widely used National Schedule of Rates. NSR’s data is compared and combined with Xactware’s own research in an effort to provide the most appropriate insurance repair schedule available.

• How often are price lists updated?

  Price lists are updated and published each quarter by the 15th of the beginning month of the quarter (January, April, July, October). These price lists are available 24/7 for download with an Internet connection.

Xactimate^® System Requirements

Xactware invests a great deal to emulate and test hundreds of combinations of hardware and software scenarios. We focus on the scenarios predominant in the market that will return the best results for our customers. Xactimate system requirements often correspond to the same trends established by Microsoft.

A Microsoft “System Rating” of 4.0 is recommended for the best possible Xactimate performance results. This rating can be found on Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers. A comprehensive list of system requirements can be found below.

Operating Systems:

• Windows XP Service Pack 3
• Windows Vista 32-bit
• Windows Vista 64-bit (Business or Ultimate)
• Windows 7 32-bit
• Windows 7 64-bit

Technical Specifications:
Xactimate can also be used on any Desktop, Laptop, Tablet PC, Convertible, or Netbook that supports these system requirements.

Xactimate Network Install

Xactimate supports client-server networks when running Windows Server 2003/2008. Xactimate also supports peer-to-peer networking.

Small Office Network:
Typically a Small Office Network consists of 10 workstations or less, where program and data reside on the same server.

Enterprise Network:
Typically an Enterprise Network consists of 10 or more workstations in a data centre or large office. Hardware requirements must meet those of a small office network, but may be greater depending on the size of the network. Due to the user limitations of Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition, it is recommended that Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 be used in an Enterprise Network environment. Please consult with an IT professional to determine the requirements necessary to meet the needs of an Enterprise Network.
